Vessel’s agile visualizer and user advocate, Sungmy shares the intention of designing a sustainable system by disrupting everyday choices with Vessel. While obtaining her degree in industrial design at Sookmyung Women’s University and working in the office furniture company Fursys Inc. in Seoul, she became responsible for her role as a designer in the social and environmental context. Her Master's thesis "Nonliving Stakeholders" in Transdisciplinary Design program at Parsons School of Design explores the possibility of design as a way of shifting a perspective of our everyday objects by integrating the Eastern and Western worldview.
